To discuss training and more.
The Charismatic Pets Dog Training Centre in Warminster, Wiltshire, is fortunate to have one of only 174 Clinical Animal Behaviourists registered with the Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC) in residence.
Charis Vincent Pg Dip CABC APBC CAB APDT ATI – to give her full credence – is available for consultations and assessments at our training centre for owners dealing with problematic dog behaviour, often with an emotional component, but sometimes with physical consequences too.
Charis can help dogs overcome all sorts of challenges that affect their well-being and their owners’ lives, including things like:
There are other issues too that Charis can help with, such as hyperactivity, difficulty with recall, lead pulling and jumping up on people.
All our behavioural support for dogs is conducted under vet referral, so in order to access our services you’ll need to request this, with the medical history of your dog, from your vet. If your veterinary practice requires a form to fill out this can be downloaded here. Ask your vet to email the referral to charis@charismaticpets.co.uk.
Once your referral is in place Charis will contact you to book an Initial Consultation and Assessment at our dog training centre.
This session will last around 60 to 90 minutes, and cost £295 including VAT. The fee includes liaison with your vet if/when required, a full report (which you and your vet will receive within two weeks after the assessment), and a virtual support pack.
You can then schedule a Follow Up Consultations of between 45 and 60 minutes per session to progress with your behavioural resolution programme – together with an updated report – for a fee of £100 including VAT.
You can also arrange a telephone/Zoom Behavioural Consultation with Charis for any ad hoc concerns, support or first aid advice. These calls last around half an hour for a fee of £65 including VAT.
Once we have received your vet referral and booked you an appointment for a behavioural assessment please fill in our online Charismatic Pets Behaviour Questionnaire. This will give Charis and our team a fuller picture of your dog and help us formulate a plan to resolve any behavioural issues.
Come along to our Training Centre (6 Woodcock Industrial Estate, Warminster, BA12 9DX) on the appointed time and day and Chris will be waiting to meet you in a comfortable, private space. Please feel free to bring along a familiar bed, bowl, tasty treats or anything else you think might make your dog feel as relaxed as possible. If your dog is inclined to be overly reactive then let us know you are here before you enter the centre, so we can be prepared to avoid any stress in the environment.
Charis has the knowledge and experience to get to the root causes of your pet’s unwanted behaviour, and will use her understanding to develop a practical treatment plan to modify or stop the behaviour. The aim is to improve the dog’s quality of life – and yours as his/her owner.
She will ask you all sorts of questions about your dog – and you can ask questions in your turn. She’ll observe your interaction and discuss specific issues in detail.
Every dog is unique so she will tailor her approach to your dog’s specific needs and characteristics.
